We collect and use information about you to communicate with you about our program and events.  We also collect information to improve your website experience, allow you to apply to participate in our program; and enable you to make donations to our organization. Here are the ways we obtain information about you and the types of information we obtain. We also tell you how we use the information.

Register for Emails.  When you ask us to add you to our mailing list, you provide us with your email address so we can fulfill your request.

 Purchases and Donations. When you make a donation, order or purchase a Garrett Mentors, Inc. item such as a ticket to an event, you may choose to give us contact and payment information so we may process your order through PayPal.  When you pay for a Garrett Mentors, Inc. item using a credit card, we use your credit card information only to fulfill your order and for other internal purposes such as sending out acknowledgements.

Contact Us Link. If you contact us via our website, we may ask you for information such as your name, address and email address so we can respond to your questions or comments. Unless you consent, we do not retain this information except to respond to your inquiries.

Website.  Like many organizations, we use cookies and log files on our website. Cookies are small text files that websites often store on the computer hard drives of visitors to their sites. A cookie contains a unique code, which is used to recognize your computer when a user of your computer returns to our website.  Log files are small text files that websites automatically create when a user visits a site. Applying to Become a Mentor. When you enroll online to become a mentor, as is the case when you enroll in person, you give us your contact and personal information.  We use that information only to process your National Background check and Mentor Application.  As a Mentor your contact information will be used to communicate with you on matters related to the mentoring program and Garrett Mentors, Inc., activities.

Sharing personal information.  We do not share personal information about you with any third parties. The security of personal information is a high priority for us. We maintain online safeguards to protect against unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration and destruction of the personal information in our possession.

Our website may contain links to other websites that operate independently of Garrett Mentors, Inc. and are not under our control. We provide links to those sites solely for your convenience and information. Those sites have their own privacy notices, which we suggest you review if you visit any linked sites. Garrett Mentors, Inc. is not responsible for information that is provided by those sites or for any other use of the sites.

To change contact information:  You may email us if you want to change your contact information.  Your email should be sent from the email address we would have on file so we can verify ownership.

To unsubscribe:  You may email us to indicate that you would like to unsubscribe from our mailings.  Your email should be sent from the email address we would have on file so we can verify ownership.
