June Friedlander
Mentor Since 2008

A native of Washington, DC, June worked for the Public Health Service including the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she was a legislative analyst.  After an early retirement, she  became a Washington, DC tour guide, working with mostly student groups.   June  moved to Garrett County in October, 2007.   An article in the Republican about the mentor program caught her interest and she has found mentoring both challenging and rewarding.
